I have discussed this with Ammler some time ago. In general, we don't like to have GRFs posted anywhere other than the official download locations as directed to via GRF Crawler. However, we do make an exception with openttdcoop. You do have permission to add our GRFs in openttdcoop download packs. Please, observe the following : . make sure you update your download packs as soon as practicable after we release updates. . ensure that you only use the latest release when setting up new server games. . remove older releases, once older server games have been completed. Basically, I don't like all that legal stuff about copyright issues. What I do care about, is that older versions are removed from any download location once a new version has been released. Further to that, we don't allow modifications to our work. If something is bad, could do with an upgrade, has some functionality missing etc; I'm quite prepared to fix the problem and release an update. Because, the various parts of a GRF have been created by more than person; the person, that created, say, a number of sprites, is the copyright holder of that work. S/he can give permission to reuse (including modification) his/her work, but permission should be requested beforehand in any case. The NFO-code is always all mine and I do not allow use and modifications in full or part without prior permission. Also, if a player wants to pass on a GRF to another player, we don't mind; as long as it's done via PM/eMail. In Summary, as mentioned above, you are allowed to distribute all our GRFs in your openttdcoop download packs. Individual GRF's can be passed between players as longs as it is done privately. I hope this helps; should you need further clarification just ask. Have a nice day ... Amendment 18 January 2013: Modifications to graphics file are not permitted, nor is content extraction, without the explicit permission of the author (OzTrans). Uploading, hosting or making available for download, including Content Download Services anywhere else but on Simuscape [www.simuscape.net] is not permitted. In regard to uploading my work anywhere else but on Simuscape and the permission given earlier : This permission has been withdrawn. You (or anybody else who feels responsible for it) are no longer permitted to add or update any of my GRFs to those GRF packs or make them available for download anywhere else. However, what is already there can stay; although they are now so old, they should actually be removed.
